006: Summer reading roundup
A collection of some Substack reads while I am OOO, as they say.
Welcome to In the Clouds, where I share what I've been consuming and what I find inspiring.
I’ve been traveling the past couple weeks (brag) so this is a special random edition of In the Clouds. Here are some substack reads I have enjoyed.

Beautiful and inspiring
The astroturfing of (fashion) culture
Long but worth it. Verbalized so much of what a lot of us are feeling re: the culture and sameness rn.
These two articles fit like puzzle pieces
I would also be interested in an article about men’s relationship to wellness
A beautiful essay about grief.
I regret what’s in my camera roll
makes u think
Because it won’t last forever, not even for long. I'm constantly struck by the brevity of life. Let me not wake up one day and realize I've spent all my time obsessing over myself and my stuff.
let’s end on a positive note
Research as a way of life is having the ability and the time to question the world around you and add to its understanding. It’s defined by our access and ability to contribute to production of knowledge and evaluate the information around us.
Haley Nahman on traveling and reacquainting ourselves with our home after travel is over.
A fun bonus: the nonsense notes I wrote on Bravo’s The Valley for my friend Maggie (hi maggie)
The Valley is a spinoff series from Vanderpump Rules that follows a group of friends in their transition to suburban life, marriage, and parenting in the Valley after all living in West Hollywood in the mid twenties to thirties (and forties tbh).
If you also watched this season, you should listen to Sexy Unique Podcast’s recaps and talk to me about it too bc this show is insane.
Back to normal next time.
See you next time. On the first Monday of the month, you can expect Asset Library and on the third Monday of the month you can expect In the Clouds in your inboxes.
